Movie Synopsis
Bunty (Aditya Roy Kapoor) is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves his girlfriend Tanya (Sudeepa Singh). However, he is afraid of marriage because he has seen his parents Kishen (Akshay Kumar) and Mala (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) bickering and fighting all the time. On their anniversary, Bunty's parents have a huge argument and decide to divorce. Bunty is devastated and runs away from home.
He goes to his grandfather Anthony Gonsalves (Randhir Kapoor), who is a scientist and inventor. He shows Bunty his latest invention: a time machine that can take anyone to any era. Bunty decides to use the time machine to go back to the 1970s, when his parents were young and in love. He hopes to change their destiny and make them fall in love again.
Bunty arrives in the 1970s and meets his young father Kishen, who is a timid and nerdy student. He also meets his young mother Mala, who is a feisty and rebellious girl. Bunty realizes that his parents are poles apart and have no chemistry. He also learns that Mala is engaged to Kunwarji (Rannvijay Singh), a rich and arrogant man who wants to marry her for her money.
